Future of Voltammetry

چکیده
It is exactly one hundred years ago when the first paper about development of polarography was published in 1922. Polarography considered a predecessor voltammetry, and this iconic electrochemical technique designed by Nobel laureate Jaroslav Heyrovsky. In short review, aim to highlight some most important achievements voltammetry so far. While hints are given theoretical works related various electrode mechanisms cyclic pulse voltammetric techniques, critical part written that should help improve communication between experimental electrochemists. Since main application field constructing biosensors, major several drawbacks applying techniques designing sensors discussed. small role nanomaterials also considered. As scanning microscopy (SECM) seems be promising instrumental system will bring step closer probing real biological systems, aspects weaknesses briefly final outlooks, we present set directions which develop coming years. The way motivate younger electrochemists get more involved exploring voltammetry.

Cyclic Voltammetry of Auranofin
The oxidative behavior of Auranofin, 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-1-thio-beta-D-glucopyranosato- S(triethylphosphine)gold(I), was investigated by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 0.1 M Bu(4)NPF(6)/CH(2)Cl(2) and 0.1 M Bu(4)NPF(4)/CH(2)Cl(2) solutions using Pt working and auxiliary electrodes and a Ag/AgCI reference. CV studies at scan rates from 50-2,000 mV/s and Auranofin concentrations between 1 an...

the reactions of interest occur at the surface of the working electrode. Therefore, we are interested in controlling the potential drop across the interface between the surface of the working electrode and the solution (i.e., the interfacial potential). However, it is impossible to control or measure this interfacial potential without placing another electrode in the solution. Thus, two interfa...
متن کاملConvolution Voltammetry of Metal Complexes
The application of convolution potential voh.ammetry to questions of metal complexation is described. Theoretical relations are derived to show that the stability constants may be directly related to the shift in the peak potential of the semiderivative wave, provided the complexes are labile. Equations are also given for inert and quasilabile complexes. Stability constants for the PbCI, and Cd...
